Christel’s Top Empathy Book List
Two decades ago the literature on empathy was far and few between which would be the driving force to what initially inspired me to begin researching and writing about empathy. I brought the only 2 books that I could find; The Power of Empathy and The Empowered Empath, a stark contrast from the other. Times have certainly changed with many diverse books on empathy available, however one must understand that all are pertinent as Empathy plays the single most pivotal role in every relationship that we have and will ever have, the more we learn, the better. I have compiled Christel’s Top Empathy Book List and will soon be providing a review on each and every book that makes it on this page. Please note, that if you click on any of the links to purchase a book, this will take you to Amazon, (world leading online store) to which I am an affiliate and receive a small % from each sale that helps to cover the cost of maintaining my website – I am very grateful and appreciate your support 🙂

In addition, empathy is seen as having a central role in aesthetics, in the understanding of our engagement with works of art and with fictional characters.

First, it hurts kids’ academic performance and leads to bullying behaviors. Also, it correlates with more cheating and less resilience. And once children grow up, a lack of empathy hampers their ability to collaborate, innovate, and problem-solve—all must-have skills for the global economy.
